CHAN KIAT

Managing Director, Singapore

Kiat is responsible for day-to-day operations of the firm. Prior to co-founding Archipelago, Kiat served as Executive VP of Investments at Singapore Post Limited (SingPost). Before SingPost, Kiat was a key member of the Corporate Finance Practice in South East Asia at McKinsey & Company. Kiat started his career as an engineer at Shell, after completing his undergraduate studies on a Shell Merit Scholarship. Kiat holds a B.Eng. (First Class) from National University of Singapore and a M.B.A from INSEAD.

LIM ENG KHIM

Managing Director, Indonesia

Eng Khim is responsible for the firm’s Indonesia coverage. Prior to joining Archipelago, Eng Khim was the CEO of PT Berlina Tbk (Berlina) and concurrently the Group COO of PT Dwi Satrya Utama. Before this, Eng Khim was the COO for two separate banks in Indonesia, Bank BII-Maybank and Bank Lippo. Eng Khim started his career at Jones Lang Wootton, before joining the Corporate Finance Practice of McKinsey & Company in South East Asia. Eng Khim holds a B.Business in Property and a B.Business in Economics and Finance (Honours) from University of South Australia, and a MSc. in Investments, Securities and Investment Banking from Reading University.

TRACY YUAN

Analyst

Tracy completed an internship at Archipelago before formally joining as an analyst. She is primarily responsible for market research, transaction support and corporate performance analysis. Tracy holds an MSc. in Finance from Imperial College London, as well as a BSc. (Hons) in Economics & Finance from University of Southampton.

 

JOVASKY PANG

Chief Executive Officer

Jovasky oversees the operations of Archipelago and is responsible for firm-wide strategic planning. Prior to co-founding Archipelago, Jovasky worked with Fullerton Financial Holdings (FFH), an investment arm of Temasek Holdings. Upon joining Temasek in 2004, he was seconded to Bank Danamon to lead their SME & Commerical Business. Later appointments at FFH include Global Head of SME & Commercial Banking and CEO of BOC Fullerton Community Bank. Jovasky started his career at McKinsey & Company and was a founding member of its Financial Institution Practice in South East Asia. Jovasky holds a B.A. (Honours) and M.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.

STEEN PUGGARD

Operating Partner

Steen leads the firm’s work in the food and beverage (F&B) and consumer sector. Prior to joining Archipelago, Steen was the CEO of 4FINGERS CRISPY CHICKEN, growing it from one store to 30 stores in 5 countries. Before this, he had led the launch, growth and development of several F&B ventures and franchises in the region, including Costa Coffee, Baskin Robbins, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Canele.  Steen had previously held senior marketing roles with Burger King and McDonald's. Accolades he had won include "Executive of the Year - Food & Beverage" Award in the Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards 2016. Steen holds a BA from Copenhagen Business School.

WOO LAN YOAK

Finance Director

Lan Yoak is responsible for firm finance, accounting and reporting, as well as firm operations and administration functions. Prior to joining Archipelago, Lan Yoak was CFO at the Fullerton Credit Services (FCS) group of companies in China. Before FCS, she had worked in Dell Asia, Seagram and Glaxo in various finance roles. She started her career with Deloitte & Touche. Lan Yoak holds a B.Accountancy from National University of Singapore and is a Chartered Accountant in Singapore.

RAHMAT SANTOSO BUDIARDJO

Investment Director

Rahmat is responsible for transaction management, investment evaluation and portfolio support at the firm. Prior to joining Archipelago, Rahmat worked at McKinsey & Company, where he was a member of the Operations and Supply Chain Practice in South East Asia. Rahmat started his career as an engineer at Atotech Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of TOTAL SA, responsible for business development and projects delivery in South East Asia, Korea and China. He holds a Dipl. Ing. (MSc.) in Biotechnology from Technical University of Berlin (Germany) and a MBA from INSEAD. 

SHELLEY ZHANG

Senior Associate

Shelley is mainly responsible for investment evaluation and post investment management. Prior to joining Archipelago, Shelley worked at Fubon Bank China, overseeing daily operations and credit risk management for Fubon Bank Beijing Branch. She also worked for Fullerton Financial Holdings for more than 7 years, where she gained in-depth knowledge and rich experience in the field of micro finance. Shelley is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder and holds an FRM designation. She earned an MBA degree from Tsinghua University.

Analyst

Tricia completed an internship at Archipelago before officially joining the company as an analyst. She is primarily involved in fundraising, market research and investment analysis. Prior to joining Archipelago, Tricia worked at Singapore business federation under China North Asia Department. Tricia holds a BSc. (Hons) in Banking and Finance from University of London.

JIRADA JONGJAKAPUN (NUJA)

Analyst

Jirada is responsible for market research and corporate performance analysis. Prior to joining Archipelago, Jirada worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand, liaising with and monitoring listed companies in the healthcare services, food & beverage, and agribusiness industries for compliance with the regulatory requirements. Jirada holds LL.B. (Hons) from Chulalongkorn Univeristy, Bangkok and LL.M. from New York University School of Law.
